Senior Project Due Dates & Deadlines
All due dates must be satisfied or the senior project final grade will be affected and/or the student may be asked to delay the senior project by a semester
Statement of intent |
Due two weeks after registration for senior project The Communication Studies Department Head will send an email request for statements of intent. |

Mandatory meeting with senior project advisor |
Before final exams of the semester BEFORE beginning work on the senior project After being assigned a senior project advisor it is the student’s responsibility to schedule a meeting with the advisor. |

Senior Project Proposal and mandatory meeting with senior paper advisor |
Due the end of the first full week of the semester registered for senior project The Senior Project Proposal should be approximately one-page in length and should do the following: · Identify
the type of project · Include the research question · Identify the intended method · Suggest a time line for completing research · Include a completed HSRB form, if required · Justify the significance of and your motivation for the project |

Excellent Draft |
Due
the Monday after midterm break, an "excellent draft"
is a complete paper, but a draft that may still require
considerable revision before the final draft. |

Senior Oral Presentations |
Typically the Sunday afternoon of the beginning of the 11th week of classes. |

Final Draft |
Due week 12 of classes; specific date announced by the Registrar’s office. Papers must be turned in to the Registrar by 5 p.m.! |
